Costco.com is once again offering discounted DoorDash gift cards (e-gift cards, specifically) to Costco members on their site. Members can purchase up to 2 sets of 2 $50 DoorDash e-gift cards for $79.99 each – effectively a 20% discount. And, members can purchase up to 2 units every 14 days – which equates to 4 $50 gift cards ($200 total). Costco hasn’t offered this deal for a while on their website, and it’s not clear how long it will last or if it will continue coming back.
An effective 20% DoorDash discount has the potential to result in actually saving money (even after tip and delivery fees) versus going to the store at Costco and elsewhere, especially if you can stack it with the monthly DoorDash credits and the free DashPass offer available with some Chase credit cards. When you pair these as a form of payment with other discounts, the savings can add up. DoorDash is now one of the few ways to shop at Costco without a membership (though there is a per-item markup).
This Costco offer is nearly identical to the discounted Instacart gift cards (currently not active) and discounted Uber/Uber Eats gift cards offers that I’ve highlighted (and personally have gotten a ton of value out of). - Purchase the discounted DoorDash e-gift cards on the Costco.com offer page (up to a quantity of 2 per member)
- Costco will email you the DoorDash e-gift card codes, typically within a few minutes.
- The DoorDash e-gift cards can be used for eligible orders placed on www.doordash.com or in the DoorDash app in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
