Mint Mobile, the Ryan Reynolds endorsed T-Mobile brand, has been silently offering 50% off its prepaid “Unlimited” 12-month plan (normally $30/month, but just $15/month with the sale price) through 1/24/25. In the past, Mint has offered (and is currently offering) 50% off their 3-month Unlimited plan, but then you paid full price starting in month 4. This is the first and only time I’ve seen them offer the ability to lock in a 50% off discount for a full 12 months (resulting in a savings of $180). Read on for full details/link to this offer as well as info on another deal for half off of a Google Pixel 9.

This offer is for new customers only and requires an upfront prepayment of $180 (equiv. $15/month for 12-months). Taxes & fees are extra.
This Mint Mobile Unlimited Plan includes:
- Data: Unlimited, first 40GB/month at high speeds (5G/4G LTE). If 40GB is hit in a given month, speeds are throttled to 3G (approximately 512Kbps). If you need more data, then you can purchase a once-monthly data add-on in your account.
- Mobile Hotspot Tethering: 10GB/month allowance at high speeds.
- Video Streaming: 1.5Mbps (480p resolution).
- Talk/Text: Unlimited.
- International Features: Free calls to Canada and Mexico. Free texts to 190+ countries. 3GB of high-speed roaming data per month while roaming in Canada before speeds slow to 128Kbps.
Switching to Mint Mobile is about as easy as it gets. Compatible bring your own phone (BYOP) devices include most unlocked, GSM-network phones – e.g. unlocked AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Simple Mobile, and Straight Talk phones. And, if your device is eSIM compatible, you can activate immediately.
IF you need a phone, Mint is currently offering a Google Pixel 9 for $399 (normally $799), and it comes with the 12-month Unlimited Plan at no charge – an excellent deal.
My Take: with the 40GB/month of high-speed data and 10GB/month hotspot, you’re probably not going to find a better price on any mobile plan. You do have to pay for 12 months, but I don’t really see any gotchas here – just an incredible amount of high-speed data for a low price. If you haven’t used T-Mobile’s network, and you give Mint a try and find it doesn’t meet your needs for your location, you can cancel your service for any reason within 7 days of activation and Mint will refund you 100% of the purchase price, including any fees and taxes – so there’s no risk involved. If you don’t want to lock in 12 months – Mint is also currently offering 50% off their 3-month plan at the moment (through 2/2/25) as well.
This is an excellent deal from Mint Mobile! 50% off the 12-month Unlimited plan for just $15/month is a steal, especially with 40GB of high-speed data and 10GB of hotspot each month. Plus, the ability to lock in this price for an entire year is a rare offer. I love that Mint Mobile offers a risk-free 7-day trial with a full refund if it doesn’t work out. This is perfect for anyone looking for a budget-friendly, high-speed plan without the hassle. Highly recommend taking advantage of this offer before it ends on 1/24/25
