Barclays US has bumped the signup welcome bonus on the Upromise Mastercard to $300 (up from $100), for a limited time, when you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first 90 days. The previous welcome spend bonus high was $200, so $300 is a best-ever signup bonus. This is a solid no-annual-fee card that I personally have had in my credit card arsenal for many years and I’ve written a full Upromise Mastercard review previously. Below I’ll give some of the highlights that this card offers and why I’ve held on to it for years.

Check out the details on this, but this is a huge perk that I fully take advantage of, with many great gift card options, including Instacart, Lowes, Home Depot, EBay, and Best Buy.
- Cash Back Rewards: earn 1.529% cash back rewards on your purchases when your Upromise Program account is linked to an eligible College Savings Plan. Or, earn 1.25% bonus cash back rewards on your purchases if your Upromise Program account is not linked to a College Savings Plan.

- No foreign transaction fees on international purchases.
The Upromise Mastercard is a solid cash back rewards card that maintains a spot in my wallet for its perks and benefits, as it comes without an annual fee. The MyGiftCardsPlus bonus cash back alone nets me $250 in bonus cash back per year, making the card worth holding on to. I also regularly get value from other cash back rewards benefits, no foreign transaction fees, and free access to my FICO credit score. A nice signup bonus for a relatively small amount of spend is great to see as well.
As always, remember to pay your credit card balance in full every month to avoid fees.
