Amazon Prime Visa: Get a Best-Ever Bonus $250 Amazon Gift Card, No Spend Required

I’ve long had an Amazon Visa Card in my stable of ever-expanding credit cards for the cash back that it offers cardmembers at Amazon and Whole Foods Market. Right now, for a limited time, the zero annual fee Prime Visa Card is also offering an instant (and best-ever) $250 Amazon gift card to new cardmembers as a signup bonus for Amazon Prime members. In other words, there is no minimum spend requirement and no annual fee to get a generous signup bonus instantly. That’s nice. I’ll review the Prime Visa Card’s benefits and the signup bonus offer in detail below.

Details on the $250 Amazon Prime Visa Card Offer

I’ve seen this card recently offer a $150 Amazon Gift card as an instant signup bonus, but the $250 bonus appears to match an all-time high, and will only last for a limited time. Upon approval of your application, the bonus gift card will be loaded into your Amazon.com account. The Amazon.com gift card is awarded to only new cardmembers and at the time of card approval. In order to get the $250 gift card bonus, you must be an Amazon Prime member.

The Prime Visa Card Benefits

In addition to the signup bonus, the Amazon Visa Card comes with a number of cash back perks. If you eventually cancel Prime, some of the cash back benefits are downgraded. The cash back perks are:

  • 5% back at Amazon.com and Amazon Fresh with eligible Prime membership (3% without Prime membership)
  • Bonus cash back offers for cardholders of 10% back or more on a rotating selection of items and categories on Amazon
  • 5% back online or in-store at Whole Foods Market with eligible Prime membership (3% without Prime membership)
  • 5% back at Chase Travel with eligible Prime membership (3% without Prime membership)
  • 5% back at Audible.com
  • Unlimited 2% back at 2% back at restaurants, gas stations, and on local transit (including rideshare)
  • Unlimited 1% back on all other purchases anywhere Visa is accepted

Amazon Prime Visa Card Bottom Line Review

The Prime Visa is a high-value, high-perk card that doesn’t have an annual fee, but comes with a generous no-spend instant signup bonus. If you shop at Amazon.com or Whole Foods Market, it makes a lot of sense to keep this card (if you pay your credit card monthly balances in full, of course, as you always should).
