Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days is October 7th through October 8th (end of day). I’m not a year-long Prime member, however, I do usually sign up for a free 30-Day Amazon Prime Trial around Prime Days and pay close attention to Prime Day deals in order to share the best deals that I see with readers. A lot of the “deals” that you’ll find on Prime Days aren’t spectacular, but there are usually a few that I deem to be worthy of sharing to readers.
Below, you’ll find the best of what I’m seeing so far (I’ll update if I see anything else that stands out). This article contains some Amazon affiliate links (thank you for supporting this site if you use them). If you see any great deals that I missed, feel free to share in the comments.

Amazon Discounts for Shopping with Points (Your Mileage May Vary):
Amazon and Chase are currently running a promo to get a $150 Amazon gift card when you are approved for the Amazon Prime Visa.
Separately, you can sometimes get discounts for adding eligible new cards and paying with points from credit card member point programs. These offers stack on top of any other discounts. I’m not sure if all of these are live at this exact moment as they are targeted to specific users periodically, but it’s worth a check to see if you’re eligible. Check out my Amazon discounts article for more details on these types of offers. These will not stack with the previously highlighted credit card promos.
- American Express Membership Rewards Points (or this offer for $15 off at checkout when you add an eligible AmEx card with promo code AMEXPD15OFF).
- Capital One Rewards Points
- Chase Ultimate Rewards Points
- Citi Thank You Points
- Discover Points (or this offer for $20 off at checkout when you add an eligible Discover card with promo code PDDISCO25).
- U.S. Bank Rewards Points
Make sure you have linked your respective card as a form of payment and then go back to click the links above to see if you are targeted with the promotion (pro tip: sometimes it helps to unenroll and then re-enroll the card if you’ve used a promotion previously). You can enroll a card at these links: American Express, Capital One, Chase, Citi, Discover, and U.S. Bank. You can un-enroll a card by going to your payments page in your wallet (select the card, then choose “edit” and “remove from wallet”) and then re-enroll the card to try again.
