Guys/gals – I finally did it.
All the hard work, the planning, the strategy, the sacrifice, the blood, the sweat, the tears – all for this one moment.
And I have been dying to break the news to all of you.
You’re looking at the brand new lessee of a Samsung UN105S9 Curved 105-Inch 4K Ultra HD 120Hz 3D Smart LED TV!
That’s right – I decided to become an early adopter of this phenomenal new curved television technology. Flat screen TV’s are soooo yesterday. 4K clarity as well so that 3 decades from now when the FCC makes Comcast upgrade their broadcast signal, I’ll be ready to watch Seinfeld re-runs with 2X the clarity of my neighbors.
I was a little bummed that there were no speakers included, but for the low low price of $119,999.99, what else would you expect?! I was able to pick up a Vizio sound bar, so all set there. And no need to run out to the store – the 2 AA remote batteries were included.
I felt really lucky to get two very special promotions: “low price guarantee” and “enhanced delivery”.
Look at that. They even turned the TV on for me! For free! If you act fast, you might also be eligible for this special promo so that you do not have to risk hurting your thumb.
All I had to do to get this beauty in my living room was take out a home equity loan for the low rate of 8% APR. 30 years from now, when I pay this off and start my reverse mortgage, I’ll look back on this and think, “Why didn’t I do this sooner?!”.
YOLO.
HAHA love the humor!
What a great buy 😛
This is what it’s all about my friend. Enhanced delivery FTW!
Winning.
What a steal! But wait, you didn’t get the “extended warranty” too?!?!?!
Ahhh!!!! I knew I forgot something. For the low low price of just 10% of the purchase price per year!
Bravo. Money well spent.
Haha. This is great.
I almost thought you were going to pitch a new course telling us how we can all get that TV too.
Let’s not forget about all of the costs of sitting on a couch and eating junk food because hey, now that you have the latest and greatest you have to enjoy it as much as possible to validate the decision. Not only that, but think of how much time is wasted which steers people away from profitable hobbies or cheaper pastimes. I get a laugh when people talk about TVs and talk size instead of quality or reliability. Some consumers just buy into it and rationalize the behavior by telling their neighbors “hey you are missing out, what are stuck in the stone age?” On a side note where I live there are many people who buy a brand new truck and put tens of thousands of dollars into upgrades like bigger wheels and tires along with stereos and other gadgets. I used to be into that until I realized the opportunity cost of all that money and when then truck is sold most of those parts aren’t worth anything. Again, people will justify and rationalize their decisions.
On the flip side, nobody likes the suffocatingly cheap guy either. “I don’t see how they charge $5 for a drink when I can go to the store…”
“I drive a used base model Honda Fit in gray, with no A/C. Look at this spreadsheet of all the money I’m saving!”
Life of the party, am I right?
I agree. But what you drink and what you own doesn’t determine the amount of fun you have in life. I think we live in a culture where you can have it all, and it’s easy too. I love nice cars so I choose wisely, find a great deal, and make sacrifices elsewhere like not buying $5 drinks, cutting my own hair, not paying for cable, doing my own yard work, eating in, not buying coffee out, etc. There is a balance in moderation!
What a deal! My kid’s college professor is requiring this TV as part of the equipyment needed for his class. (Along with the $500.00 textbook authored by him.)
Just one? Man you are missing out. You have GOT to get 11 more of them so you can make 360 degrees of panoramic 4k escapist cocoon awesomeness. The Joneses have that setup…
April Fool’s Joke?
Jokes aside, that is one sweet TV … can I come over and watch football at your house? 🙂
What’s better are the actual reviews for this on amazon.
“Great as an extra monitor, I had the desk space” – 5 Stars
Glad you didn’t cheap out and only get a 90″ TV…..those extra 15″ will really make your life so much better than if you got a much crappier TV.
Now you can really turbo charge you TV time, and quit working so hard!
🙂
Wondering if it’s supposed to give that IMAX experience on a super small scale… does it mess with your peripheral vision at all? The TV looks like a great option, but I have to admit my reluctance to purchase a curved screen TV before I hear enough from people who own one.
