Anytime you can increase your pay by 59%, it's hard not to come out ahead. I recently moved positions within the same company. Physically the new position is 104 miles away from my old position. I did take into account the cost of living increase, and the cost associated with housing. Even though I commute a couple times a week I know that I will be moving to the area permanently in 3-4 months. Unless it's a guaranteed long-term career boost, it really doesn't seem worth it.
